Malahini Kuda Bandos is a small island in North Male Atoll, close enough to Velana that the crossing is a short shared boat rather than a seaplane day. Rooms step from the garden out to the beach, and the house reef starts almost at the shore. Days are warm and humid, with bright gaps between showers, and most of the day is spent on the reef, the jetty, or a quiet stretch of sand. It suits travellers who want a simple island and a short ride, not a long haul across the atolls.
